Album Info:Owned by LG Everist, Inc. D&I RR hauls quartzite aggregate from a huge pit mine in Dell Rapids. One of the supervisors was nice enough to drive me around the pit mine. It was quite impressive!!

Description:  D&I RR #21 GP9 This loco started out as an F3A EMD #4808 built in 1948 for the Great Northern, numbered 432D. Was rebuilt in 1959 as a GP9. So apparently parts of this locomotive are almost 60 years old!!
